Eclectic country house
Horton were brought in from the beginning on this project alongside the main contractor and architect, meaning we were able to give early design input to the space, room layouts and features.
Our client spent time in Asia and wanted this influence - characterised by bright colour and unusual accessories - reflected in their home. All the rooms had a different feel and we aimed to create warm, relaxing spaces that were suitable for entertaining.
Each bedroom and bathroom had a unique concept, giving us the opportunity to include details reflecting various design styles.
Our favourite space was the Moroccan room, which featured a lantern made by a specialist ironmonger with bespoke hand-painted panels. Our client chose the panel designs and we sourced the glass from warehouses and reclamation yards in London.
